An early 19th century engraved Ship Captain's Brass Tobacco Box dated 1830

This beautiful large (almost round) tobacco box measures 4" by 3 1/2". It is inscribed "Capt. T. Rickinson, Brig Cyrus of Whitby (England) 1830." Further research may provide more information on both Capt. Rickinson and the Brig Cyrus.
