A Civil War Ambrotype Photo circa 1863 of a Union Sergeant sitting in front of a field tent along with his G A R medal.

The G A R medal's ribbon is quite worn and tattered but appear to have been in the case for a long time. It may well have belonged to the soldier in the photo. The photo is in excellent condition as is the gutta purchas case.
