A Civil War ear Ambrotype photo of a gentleman in a beautiful Gutta Purcha 'Union' case circa 1863

The case features a large male Elk and a smaller female elk in the background. The case was made by S. Peck & Co. and measures 3 1/2" x 3 3/4". The image appears to be in good condition with the glass having some mildew on the inside.
