A fine 18th century engraving of "The Celebrated Victory Obtained by the British Fleet under the Command of Earl Howe over the French Fleet on the Glorious First of June 1794."

This fabulous and rare hand colored engraving was published in London in 1795 by David Orme. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of J. Welles Henderson, author of JACK TAR, A Sailor's Life, 1750-1910, and illustrated in the book on p. 243. Framed and matted 26" by 31". He was also the founder of the Independence Maritime Museum in Philadelphia.
