A Rare Set of 6 Engravings Showing the Execution of King Louis XVI of France in 1793

Still retaining their original frames and glass, this rare set of 6 engravings shows the King bidding farewell to his family and ends with his head being held above the scaffold. This terrible event took place on January 21, 1793 and these engravings were published shortly thereafter.
