This lovely reprint has been recently framed and matted and measures 28" by 21 1/2". Historical note: The topsail schooner 'Lydia' (misspelled Lidia by the artist), 117 tons, was built at Amesbury, Massachusetts, in 1804 and registered in the names of John and Philip Coombs of Newburyport. Joseph Bragdon was the master. No record of her voyages or her fate have been preserved. She last appeared in the Newburyport ship register in 1822.
