A 19th century '6 Finger' ANTIQUE Baleen Oval 'DITTY' Box circa 1840

Having punched initials "I B" this nice example measures 7" by 5 1/4" and stands 3 3/4" high. As is typical in most baleen boxes of this period, there is insect damage and some chips to the bottom edge of both the lid and the box.
