A fine 19th century Scrimshawed Antique Whale's Tooth

Measuring 6 1/2" long, this fine example features a ship at sea with the name 'Columbus' on one side and the reverse side scrimed with a scene of an interior of a ship captain's quarters with the captain seated at a table peering over a chart. There are two age cracks, one about 1 1/2" long the other about 1" long.
