A RARE pair of Swordfish bill swords inscribed "J A P Gloucester, Mass., 1939"

SOLD

Measuring nearly 43" long, these fabulous patrioticly painted swordfish bills were made by someone from Gloucester, Mass., and are dated 1939. Each of the bills is attached to a large hand carved handle with carved ships and lighthouses. Condition: minor paint losses, some chips to the guards and some plaster infill on the undersides of the bills where the natural shape of the bills was filled in.
