A very fine replica of a scrimshawed whale's tooth in the JOHN F. KENNEDY collection

Made of resin and meticulously copied from the original tooth in the President John F. Kennedy collection, the original tooth was scrimed by Edward Burdett circa 1830. Today, Burdett's whale's teeth, when they come onto the market, set new auction records. Some have sold for more than $400,000. This tooth features a polycrome decorated ship under full sail and a lady wearing a checkered apron. Length: 8 1/2" width 3 1/2"
