A Rare and Historic Hand Drawn Chart of Admiral Richard E. Byrd's 2nd Antarctic Expedition 1933-1935

This beautiful, rare and historic hand drawn chart is on vellum and is signed by ALL the members of the Expedition including that of Admiral Byrd's. It is drawn with both black and red ink and measures 7 1/2" by 11 1/2" in its original frame. In the bottom right hand corner of the chart is the signature of "Richard Blackburn Black, Maker and Owner of this Chart." He served with Byrd on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th antarctic Expeditions. The scrolls flanking the chart of the antarctic have tiny drawings above and below of planes, dog sleds, tractors, etc. This is clearly a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a piece of American history!
