A Rare Four Photo Gutta Percha Case circa 1860

Set into a charming gutta percha case featuring a lady holding her daughter on her lap who in turn is holding onto both a dog and a cat, this near mint condition set of four ambrotype photos features three women and a child. Each photo frame measures 2" by 2 3/8"' and the case itself measures 3" by 4 3/4". The photos appear to be a family grouping.
