A superb Meditteranean Ships Passport document signed on February 26, 1818 by President James Monroe and Secretary of State and future President John Quincy Adams.

One of the nicest examples of this document that I have handled. Beautiful dark vignettes and bold signatures of both President James Monroe and his successor President John Quincy Adams. The framing and matting is outstanding having been done by the Mystic Seaport Museum framing gallery. Size framed: 17" by 21 1/2"
