A FABULOUS PRINTED SILK DEPICTION OF THE COATS OF ARMS OF THE ORIGINAL 13 STATES circa 1895

Printed on silk, the vibrant and detailed coats of arms are each magnificent. This fantastic piece was done by Louis Prang (1824-1909)of Boston, the most famous chromolithographer of the 19th century. He is also considered to be the father of the American Christmas card. Framed and matted, this rare silkwork measures 20 1/2" by 24". PROVENANCE: From the estate of long time Cape Cod resident and stage and screen actress Lee Remick.
