A Fine Oil Portrait of the Ship 'Maha Buleshwar' Attributed to Joseph Semphill circa 1866.

This outstanding ship's painting is attributed to Liverpool dockside artist Joseph Semphill (fl 1860-1880). the ship was built in 1865 and was 191 feet long and worked the India trade route. She was named for a village near Bombay. She was 'lost' at sea in 1883.
